The successful acquisition of third-party funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG) is essential for a scientific career. In cooperation with theMedical Faculty, the IZKF Münster offers a substantive examination of the research applications and a personal mentoring for DFG first-time applicants from the Medical Faculty. DFG-experienced project managers are available as competent consultants and mentors for this service.

In addition, the SERVICEPOINT WISSENSCHAFT FÜR WISSENSCHAFTLICHE MITARBEITER*INNEN (SerWiM) of the Deanery provides support in the search for individually suitable funding opportunities and, if so desired, support with the relevant application procedures. SerWiM actively supports the preparation of grant applications, for example by checking the formal correctness of the application, researching and compiling the required information as needed or DFG mentoring for young scientists.
