The Faculty of Medicine has awarded the "Paper of the Month Award" since 2017. This award honours the excellent research of the scientists.

The current "Paper of the Month" (03/2022) goes to Dr. Joachim Gerß from the Institut für Biometrie und Klinische Forschung and Prof. Dirk Föll from the Klinik für Pädiatrische Rheumatologie und Immunologie for the paper "Prevention of disease flares by risk-adapted stratification of therapy withdrawal in juvenile idiopathic arthritis: results from the PREVENT-JIA trial" published Ann Rheum Dis. (2022) EPub ahead of print. [Abstract].

The PREVENT-JIA study received intramural funding from the IZKF Münster - IZKF project CRA-004 from 7/2011 to 9/2015. The principal investigators of the project were Dirk Föll, Dirk Holzinger and Joachim Gerß.

We congratulate Dr. Gerß, Prof. Föll and the co-authors on the award.
