Over 100 women scientists gathered in Münster from 26. -27 November 2018 for a networking symposium organized and funded by various local and external research associations and institutions. The conference focussed on discussions regarding career paths both inside and outside of science, career planning and available job opportunities. The renowned scientists who were invited, dubbed "role models," spoke candidly about their own professional paths and encouraged the participants to be more daring and outspoken. It was important for the organisers of the first "Women-in-Science Network Conference" at the WWU Münster to create a unique atmosphere for talented young women to meet, network and exchange ideas.
