Prof. Hans-Christian Pape appointed president of the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation

We are very pleased that our longtime IZKF member has been appointed as President of the Alexander-von-Humbold Foundation.

Professor Hans-Christian Pape assumed the office as the new president for a  five-year term on 1 January 2018 and was appointed Federal Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel. His appointment was proposed by an international selection committee and unanimously approved by the Humboldt Foundation's Board of Trustees. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) is a non-profit foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany promoting international cooperation in research. Pape is considered one of the leading experts in the study of the neurophysiological basis of anxiety and anxiety disorders. The neurophysiologist was a member of the IZKF Research Council, the Executive Board, and was Deputy Chairman from February 2015 to February 2018.
