Prof. Dr. Jan Rossaint awarded the Franz Köhler Inflammation Award from the DGAI

Every year the German Society for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine e.V. (DGAI) awards prizes and scholarships for commendable and valuable scientific contributions to the field of anesthesiology thus promoting research and teaching in anesthesiology together with its industry partners.

During the 25th Meeting of the DGAI for Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Prof. Dr. med. Jan Rossaint was awarded the DGAI Franz Köhler Inflammation Award donated by Franz Köhler Chemie.

Professor Rossaint is senior physician in the Department of Anaesthesiology, Surgical Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Therapy at the University Hospital Münster and is principal investigator of an IZKF that will start in January 2024. He was one of the first IZKF SEED.projects group leaders. He received the Franz Köhler Inflammation Award, worth 5,000 euros, for his outstanding achievements in the field of research into the pathophysiology, prophylaxis and therapy of inflammation in its various forms.
