The Faculty of Medicine has awarded the "Paper of the Month Award" since 2017. This award honours the excellent reserch of the scientists.

The current "Paper of the Month" (12/2018) goes to Dr. Niki Tomas Loges from the Department of General Pediatrics. Dr. Loges is the first author of the publication Recessive DNAH9 loss-of-function mutations cause laterality defects and subtle respiratory ciliary-beating defects published in American Journal of Human Genetics 2018; Dec 6;103(6) 995-1008. This study was co-financed by the IZKF Münster in the projects Om2/009/12 and  Om2/015/16 awarded to Prof. H. Omran, along with other external peer-reviewed funding organisations.
