The Faculty of Medicine has awarded the "Paper of the Month Award" since 2017. This award honours the excellent research of the scientists.

The current "Paper of the Month" (10/2018) goes to Dr. Maja Matis from the Institute of Cell Biology, ZMBE. Dr. Matis is the senior author of the publication "Polarized microtubule dynamics directs cell mechanics and coordinate forces during epithelial morphogenesis" published in Nature Cell Biology 2018; 20: 1126-1133. This study was financed by the IZKF Münster in the project Mat2/ 019/16 in addition to other external peer-reviewed funding organisations.
