The second Interdisciplinary Networking Symposium for Clinician Scientists 2021 on the topic "Networking - Challenges and Solutions" took place from September 23-25, 2021 in Jena. The symposium was organised by the IZKF colleagues and the clinician scientists. Due to the pandemic, the symposium was organised as a hybrid event this year: with keynote talks, short lectures and 27 poster presentations as well as an interactive networking platform.

Dr. Dr. Sebastian Balbach, Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine - Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, won the audience award for his poster entitled „BRD4 as novel epigenetic vulnerability of early T-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ETP-ALL)“. The best poster prize was selected both by a jury as well as the participants.

Dr. Balbach heads the IZKF Clinician Scientist project SEED 013/20 - BRD4 as novel epigenetic vulnerability of early T-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ETP-ALL).
