Research interests:

I am interested in aspects of pharmaceutical chemistry, molecular pharmacology, biophysics, physiology and pathophysiology, -thus, the inerface between chemistry and medicine. We use stem cell derived cells including cardiomyocytes and neurones to address basics questions of the these fields. Our work includes development of novel protocols for reprogramming and differentiation. Further, we use stem cell dreived cell for analysis of basic physiology, disease modeling, virology and pharmacology. We apply structural modeling, (bio-)chemical, microbiological, cell physiological, optical and biophysical techniques to address our questions.
