Curriculum vitae
I studied biology and molecular biomedicine at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and the Hasselt University (Belgium). My PhD thesis focused on the nanomechanical properties of human endothelial cells with regard to blood-pressure dependent effects. In 2014 I joined Prof. Albrecht Schwab's laboratory to study adhesive tumour cell-cell interaction forces and the regulatory role of ion transporters and pH played therein. To study these effects in a 3D model, I did an internship at the Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands). In 2017 I became ‘Nachwuchsprofessorin’ at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster. Now I decided to be the manager of the Marie Skłodowska Curie Innovative Training Network pHioniC.
