The Faculty of Medicine has awarded the "Paper of the Month Award" since 2017. This award honours the excellent research of the scientists.

In November 2020, two publications were awarded "Paper of the Month" (11/2020) and one of the awards goes to Dr. Andreas Margraf from theDepartment of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy. Dr. Margraf is the first author of the paper entitled "The integrin-linked kinase is required for chemokine-triggered high-affinity conformation of the neutrophil β2-integrin LFA-1" that was published in Blood 2020 Nov 5;136(19):2200-2205. doi: 10.1182/blood.2020004948 Abstract and partially funded by the  IZKF Münster projects SEED 12/18 (Dr. Andreas Margraf) and Za2/001/18 (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Alexander Zarbock).
