5. Münster Conference on Biomolecule Analysis

On November 7, 2018 the IZKF Core Unit Proteomics hosted the "Münster Conference on Biomolecule Analysis" for the fifth time at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine. Among the prominent speakers was Prof. Emerita Teresa Kowalska of the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. She spoke on Historical and modern developments in thin-layer chromatography.

This year the focus of the conference was on thin layer chromatography / mass spectrometry (TLC-MS) based analysis. Together with the companies Waters, CAMAG, Andrew Alliance, MSCi Consult and Merck, a series of workshops were held on the topic. Gilson International presented a workshop on the topic - Liquid Handling - Connected & Automated. In addition, Serva Electrophoresis organized a workshop on Electrophoresis in bioanalytics.

The companies donated two poster prizes of 150 € each. The jury was very impressed by the quality of the presented posters.
