Francesca Baldelli, associate professor in chemistry at the Politecnico di Milano, specializes in engineerd nanomaterials (ENM) in diagnosis and treatment of uncurable diseases, and has recently developed fluorinated nanomaterials for the potential use as MRI contrast agent. 

Oommen Varghese, associate professor at the University of Uppsala, focuses on nucleic acid therapeutics for gene silencing as well as on the delivery of small molecules. His translational approach aims at the development of 3D tissue models and therapeutic biomaterials.
