Der Weg zum ersehnten Wunschkind kann für viele Paare lang und beschwerlich sein. Die Belastung wird noch größer, wenn sie auf diesem Weg Fehlgeburten erleben müssen. Doch falls dafür eine genetische Ursache festgestellt wird, gibt es Hoffnung: Dank der Präimplantationsdiagnostik (PID) haben betroffene Paare die Chance auf ein gesundes Kind. 
Nun durfte die erste Familie, die sich am UKM unter anderem mit Beteiligung von Verena Nordhoff (CeRA) auf diesen Weg gemacht hat, ein gesundes Kind willkommen heißen.

The path to the desired child can be long and exhausting for many couples. The burden becomes even greater if they experience miscarriages along the way. But if a genetic cause is found, there is hope: thanks to pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PID), affected couples have the chance of having a healthy child. 
Now the first family to embark on this path at the UKM, with the involvement of Verena Nordhoff (CeRA) among others, has welcomed a healthy child.
