Support and advice for the Medical Faculty and the Deanery in matters of gender equality, in accordance with the provisions of the State Equal Opportunities Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (LGG-NRW, Stand 2021) and the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (HG-NRW, Stand 2021).

This includes, among others:

• Accompanying appointment committees
• Participating in job advertisements
• Promoting the presence and participation of women in all bodies and committees of the Faculty
• Promoting the next generation of academics and implementing measures that increase the proportion of women in research and teaching, particularly in leadership and management positions
• Reducing disadvantages for women by advising female students and female researchers on career planning (mentoring programs, compatibility of family and career) or in cases of discrimination and harassment
• Drawing up and amending the Medical Faculty's equality plan, as well as preparing the report on its implementation (Equality Plan of Faculty 05 for 2019–2022 with interim evaluation as of 01.12.2020) (in German)
• In cooperation with the Faculty's Diversity Officer, developing and implementing strategies to counteract stereotypes and reduce unequal treatment
• Implementing and promoting the implementation of the university guideline: Code of Conduct of the University of Münster
