I completed my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Göttingen, where my thesis explored the influence of proton localization on ATP synthase in artificial membrane systems. I then pursued a master's degree in Immunobiology at the University of Bonn. Toward the end of my studies, I joined the Research and Development Center of Bayer AG in Wuppertal for an internship and my master's thesis. My work there focused on the establishment and optimization of biochemical assays for the discovery of novel small molecules using high-throughput screening. In October 2025, I joined Prof. Schwab’s group as a PhD student. As part of the Research Training Group Chembion, I am investigating the role of potassium channels in regulating the function of neutrophil granulocytes.
