Informed Consent

Biomaterial samples can only be stored in the ZBB if the sample donors have explicitly agreed. There are currently various ways to give the consent for sample use.

  • Informed consent in studies
Studies that are carried out at the Medical Faculty or the university hospital can store their collected biomaterials in the ZBB. You, as a participant in the respective study, will be explicitly informed when you agree to the study. The informed consent text can be individually formulated.
  • Infomed consent as part of routine care at the UKM
The ZBB provides a general informed consent, which makes it possible that biomaterials and medical data that are taken or documented during the stay at the UKM can be used for research projects. The relevant documents will be presented to you when you during the admission at the UKM. You can also find the current version here.
