MEDICAL RESEARCH

Scientists at the Faculty of Medicine actively combine clinical research with strong interdisciplinary basic research. Their goals are to better understand the human body and the progression of diseases, with the ultimate goal of developing new diagnostic methods and personalised therapeutic options. Researchers collaborate with colleagues across the borders of disciplines, nationalities and cultures. Combined expertise and diversified approaches promote scientific creativity that results in medical innovations.

Research publication

Scientists publish their findings in dedicated journals to publicly and verifiably document newly acquired knowledge and disseminate it to the scientific community. The Faculty of Medicine's “Paper of the Month” award aims to honour the outstanding work of its researchers. The winners present their findings succinctly in words and images.
