Third-Party Funding

Third-party funding refers to funds that are raised from public or private sources in addition to the university’s regular budget to support research and development, the promotion of early-career researchers, and teaching. Third-party funds can be made available to the university itself, to one of its institutions (e.g., faculties, departments, institutes), or to individual full-time academic staff members.

Third-party funding plays a central role in the assessment of research performance.

The third-party funds of the Medical Faculty are administered by the University Hospital Münster.

Further information on the acquisition of third-party funding can be found in the intranet under Forschungsförderung (Research Funding - only in German).
