Pilot project funding for Samuel Young

Congratulations!

The CRU326 PhD student Samuel Young (Strünker lab) received a CiM pilot project funding for a joint project of four young scientists from the field of computer science to biology, aiming to develop an imaging system capable of evaluating sperm motility. With their project entitled 'Imaging invisible cues of sperm motility: a novel standardised and fully automatic imaging and tracking approach for sperm motility analysis' they assume to detect even very subtle differences in swimming behaviour of sperm of infertile male patients.

Please find more information of this highly fascinating approach here on the CiM website.

The CRU326 wishes all four researchers great success with this exciting project!
