Andrology2020 was an ace success - with great participation of our CRU326 !

Thriving research highlight at year's end: Andrology2020

The 12th International, 11th European, and 32nd German Congress of Andrology 2020 was a huge success! Over 700 researchers and clinicians from the field of Andrology participated in this year’s congress highlight in Münster, Germany. In a unique situation, three societies - 'International Society of Andrology' (ISA), the 'European Academy of Andrology' (EAA), and the 'German Society of Andrology' (DGA) combined their efforts to make this event possible.

For six days, research was presented, discussed, and exchanged and scientists all over the world were brought together – special feature: the congress took place completely digitally! Organised by Prof. Sabine Kliesch, Chief Physician at the Centre of Reproductive Medicine and Andrology (CeRA), Prof. Stefan Schlatt, Director if the Centre, and Dr. Cristin Beumer, Scientific Project Manager of the CRU326, the congress aimed to centralise the andrological research community in real life in Münster – but due to the current circumstances, the organising committee decided to move it into the digital world. With noteworthy success – a total of 300 presentations, plenaries, and poster sessions allowed the insight into the recent research status of male and female reproductive health. With 19 participating CRU326 members, even more CRU-related colleagues, 7 invited CRU326 speaker, and our very own programme session,  we integrated ourselves perfectly into the community. Two additional highlights: Margot Wyrwoll and Sophie Kaldewey were honoured with a publication and poster presentation award, respectively.

Thanks to everyone who took part in this memorable year’s end experience, we are already looking forward to next year's congress period!
