The practical course in Medical Informatics complements the lecture by providing a practice-oriented deepening of key topics in digital medicine. Its aim is to give students of human medicine a hands-on insight into the practical handling of medical data, digital information systems, and selected methods of artificial intelligence as well as medical informatics.

Important Information regarding changes and the pre-assessment (Antestat) in Medical Informatics (WiSe 2026/27)

Please take note of the following significant changes:

• The majority of the Medical Informatics lecture content will now be covered through self-study using instructional videos.
• The Medical Informatics practical course will henceforth be conducted in two sessions per group.

• Successful completion of a pre-assessment (Antestat) is required to participate in the practical course. This will take place after the first two weeks of the semester as a multiple-choice test in Ilias. The purpose of this pre-assessment is to ensure that you are optimally prepared for the course content.
