R programming course for beginners

Description:
During the summer semester, the Institute of Medical Informatics is offering a programming course in the R programming language. The course is designed for students with no prior programming experience and teaches the fundamentals of programming. Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to independently write scripts, analyze data, and create visually appealing graphics.

The course is primarily intended for medical students (and students in related fields) with no prior programming experience. This semester, the course is extracurricular.

Start: April 15, 2026 (weekly)
End: July 22, 2026 (final session)
Time: 4:30 - 6:00 PM
Capacities: max. 30 - FULL!
Location: Multimedia Room, Lecture Hall Building

Notes:

  • Regular attendance is expected, as the individual course sessions build on one another.

  • Participants who attend regularly will receive a certificate of attendance (no final exam!). 

  • Students need a laptop for the course!
