Our research primarily focuses on the genetics of multifactorial diseases, particularly cardiovascular and chronic inflammatory diseases. Our group develops new algorithms for analyzing GWAS and pathway analyses, as well as for analyzing data from next-generation sequencing (NGS) approaches.
In addition, we operate the Faculty of Medicine's Core Facility Genomics [CFG MFM]. This core facility supports high-density arrays for SNP, CNV, methylome, and transcriptome analyses, as well as next-generation sequencing and a (bio)informatics infrastructure for managing large data sets.
