Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Research (IZKF) Münster
Münster Conference on Biomolecule Analysis
29. - 30. November 2017

Micro- and nanoanalytical including chip technologies are of major importance in research and development in the life sciences. Some of these such as fluorescent-based detection methods enable detection even at the single cell level. The scope of this conference is to provide a forum for scientists from various research disciplines to discuss the advancement in biomolecular analytical technologies and to provide a platform for young scientists to interact with experts in the field. The agenda of the conference includes workshops and talks, enabling participants to gain insights in selected experimental techniques.

General Information

This year's conference will focus on imaging using MALDI mass spectrometry. The first workshop organized by Prof. Klaus Dreisewerd and his team together with Waters Corporation will be held at the Institute of Hygiene on 29. November. The entire afternoon will be dedicated to showcase such experiments in hands-on-sessions.The talks and workshops on 30th November will take place at the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Biomedicine. The day will begin with the keynote lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Ron Heeren, Maastricht MultiModal Molecular Imaging Institute (M4I). In addition, eminent speakers including Professors Matthias Wilm, University College Dublin and Peter James, Lund University, and other experts who have influenced proteomics research on many fronts will hold talks. Other leading manufacturers in the field of MALDI imaging instrumentation and protein analysis - Bruker, PALL FortéBio, SCiLS and SERVA Electrophoresis will further illustrate the current state-of-the-art in talks and hands-on-workshops.We encourage you to use this great opportunity to train your students and meet the research leaders.
