In addition to providing established services to users, BIC will focus on three major future developments in multi-omics techniques:

  • integrating spatial transcriptomics with single-cell and nuclei technologies using advanced bioinformatics,
  • combining spatial transcriptomics with proteomics for comprehensive molecular profiling, and
  • enriching and characterizing rare cell populations using scalable enrichment approaches (e.g. PERFF-seq).

Services provided by BIC will include consulting, instrument operation, sample processing, data analysis, and support for grant writing. Researchers will also gain access to validated protocols for multiplex imaging and single-cell analyses, with data management supported by dedicated local infrastructure. Additionally, BIC will foster collaborations through shared expertise and resources and joint seminars, ensuring research outputs remain timely and competitive. These advancements will enable researchers to analyze the spatial organization of cells and tissues at unprecedented resolution.

Users interested in requesting our services can reach out to us at cubic@uni-muenster.de with a short (<1 page) description of your project including the number of samples, technique of interest, etc.
