This study investigates whether remote ischemic preconditioning (RIPC), a simple non-invasive technique involving brief, repeated interruptions of blood flow in the arm, can protect kidney function in critically ill patients with sepsis. It assesses changes in blood and urine biomarkers that reflect early kidney injury. The aim is to determine whether RIPC can reduce the risk of acute kidney injury (AKI) in this high-risk patient population.
