Department for Construction and Area Management

The Department for Construction and Area Management is divided into two areas of activity:

Strategic construction and area management (Contact: Jens Flunkert)
Operational construction and area management (Contact: Holger Schulze).

Responsibilities
Strategic construction and area management (Contact: Jens Flunkert)
- Implementation and further development of the area management model
- Construction coordinator for new research buildings
- Ongoing updating of the Research & Teaching (FuL) land utilisation statistics
- Strategic space utilisation planning for research and teaching (FuL)
- Implementation and further development of the financial land allocation model
- Area volume planning for new construction projects and new leases
- User needs analysis for new construction and renovation projects
- Development of area programs and site planning
- Project management for user commissioning for new buildings and large-scale new leases
- User project management for relocation planning related to new buildings and large-scale new leases
Operational construction and area management (Contact: Holger Schulze)
- Coordination and processing of room requests during regular operations/for existing spaces
- Coordination of space rentals/lease contract matters
- Coordination of furnishings and small relocations
- Initiation of renovation measures in existing buildings (IM assignment)
- Space utilization planning in regular operations/for existing spaces
- Support in appointment procedures
- Equipment management
- Initial setup
- Commissions for University Hospital Münster (UKM) Facility Management
- Key custodian
- Coordinator for building-related fire protection
