The scientific project deals with the "Function of ion transport proteins in pancreatic stellate cells (PSCs)". Desmoplasia is one of the hallmarks of PDAC and leads to poor vascularization, hypoxia and acidosis. It depends on the mutual activation of PDAC cells and PSCs. This project will be focussed on the function of transport proteins in PSCs.
