Genome Engineering in Zebrafish
The International Workshop 2017 "Genome Engineering in Zebrafish" took place on June 27th-28th at the MPI Frankfurt.The workshop aimed to discuss the latest developments in CRISPR/Cas based genome engineering with the focus on approaches allowing efficient genome editing in zebrafish. The goal was to discuss homologous recombination approaches and knock-in strategies, and was attended by active researchers who already have experience in generating knock-out alleles using TALEN and Crispr approaches. Special attention has been paid to practical tips and efficient protocols, and there have been many opportunities provided for small group discussions with experts in the field.
