The Institute of Medical Informatics is project partner as well as the center of coordination for the piloting of this European project which is supported by the Innovative Medicines Initiative. The research topic of this project is the use of electronic health records (EHR) for clinical research (CR). On a European level a system independent platform shall be provided which supports, within the framework of clinical studies, the protocol feasibility, the recruiting of patients and the prompt of unwanted side effects for pharmaceutical companies.
