The Bioconductor conference EuroBioC 2026 took place in Turku, Finland, during the first week of June. The Institute for Medical Informatics (IMI) at the University of Münster was also represented there.

Sophie-Marie Wind from the “Machine Learning for Biomedical Data” research group presented her research in two talks. In a short talk, she introduced the framework “fourSynergy: A framework for ensemble-based analysis of 4C-seq data,” which offers new approaches for analyzing 4C-seq data (a method for investigating spatial DNA interactions in the genome). In addition, she presented current work in the field of single-cell DNA sequencing (scDNA-seq) in a keynote talk.

EuroBioC is the European conference of the Bioconductor community and provides researchers in bioinformatics, biostatistics, and computational biology with a platform to exchange ideas on current methods and software tools for analyzing biological data.
