Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death in Germany, both in women and men (Destatis). As the research laboratory of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at University Hospital Münster, our team, consisting of physicians, biologists and medical technologists, is therefore dedicated to investigate scientific issues of the heart. Our focus is on both congenital and acquired heart diseases.
