Beautiful surroundings contributed to a highly productive meeting: The FEBS 2017 Advanced Course, organized by GLYCANC member Prof. Nikos Karamanos and visited by many members of the GLYCANC board as well as other renowned speakers, took place in May 2017 on the island of Spetses, Greece. A feature of the meeting is published in the current volume of the journal Matrix Biology.
