A number of members of the GLYCANC consortium had a meeting at the 7 Lakes Conference in Varese (Italy). Among other topics, new possibilities of additional funding, and dissemination of the project were discussed. During the well-attended international conference, several GLYCANC project leaders and young scientists from the consortium presented their most recent work on the role of proteoglycans in cancer progression, cancer stem cell function, tumor metastasis and tumor angiogenesis."
