The present invention provides oligonucleotides including
amplification primers and probes as well as pairs of said
oligonucleotides that are useful in methods and uses for the
determination of the sex of an avian subject. Similarly these
oligonucleotides can be used for the preparation of a kit for
the determination of the sex of an avian subject. Also the
present invention provides a method for the identification of a
pair of oligonucleotides for sexing of an avian subject and a
kit comprising such oligonucleotides.
