Curriculum vitae

I studied General Medicine at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, where I obtained my medical degree in 2014. Afterwards, I pursued a Ph.D. degree at the Department of Biophysics and Cell Biology of the University of Debrecen. During my Ph.D. studies I spent 5 months with a fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and 3 months with a research scholarship at the Institut für Physiologie II in Münster. I graduated in 2017. My thesis focused mainly on potassium channels in inflammatory and invasive cells. In 2018 I joined Prof. Albrecht Schwab's group in the Institut für Physiologie II. My main research interests include the functional role of ion channels and pH homeostasis in cancer cells and cancer-associated stromal cells such as stellate cells in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
