Symposium Novel Insights into Cancer Biology, Cairo

Dr. Sherif Ibrahim, the Egyptian PI of the Al Tawasul  project and a partner of GLYCANC grant will organize a 3rd Symposium Novel insights into cancer Biology: New targets and therapeutic approaches, on November 25-26th, 2015. It will be held at the Ain shams University guest house conference hall, Cairo, Egypt. This Symposium is supported by Al Tawasul 56808461 project Funded by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

We could attract an excellent group of renowned German scientists to present and discuss their latest research. A number of experts will open workshop by introductory keynote presentations. Prof. Dr. Martin Götte, the German PI of the Al Tawasul project and the German PI of GLAYCANC grant, is the keynote speaker and he is going to talk about the interplay between Syndecan-1 and heparanase in cancer stem cell function.

The Symposium covers a wide range of important aspects of cancer biology including cancer stem cells and analysis of signal transduction pathways, siRNA and microRNA transfection approaches, functional assays of tumor cell behaviour in vitro and in vivo and nanomedicine.

Of particular importance we especially encourage young scientists and students to participate with oral presentations selected from the submitted abstracts. Therefore, the symposium will provide a platform to interact and exchange ideas with young researchers and highly experienced world-class scientists from different disciplines. Moreover, we offered a special educational session for undergraduates students on how to design microRNA experiments and radiotherapy and tumor biology.
