In Memoriam Professor Georg Peters
We mourn the loss of our honored colleague and former IZKF spokesman Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Georg Peters, who died in a tragic accident on 08 August this year. Georg Peters was a longtime member of the IZKF, and member of the Board of Directors from February 2001 to April 2012, which he chaired from 2006 to 2012 as spokesman. He shaped the IZKF and faculty focus "Inflammation and Infection" like no other. His untiring work for the IZKF mission and his ceaseless commitment at the highest scientific quality have contributed significantly to the success of the IZKF. He also made a name for himself in various committees of academic self-administration of the Medical Faculty and University, most recently as Chairman of the Senate of the WWU. Our condolences go especially to his wife and family. We will miss Georg Peters very much and always remember him.
