For those who do not speak German: A woman concerned talks about her experience with having endometriosis: the disease was detected very late because a gyneacologist came to an incorrect diagnosis. She received help only after turning to Sylvia Mechsner. According to the latter, the problems with endometriosis are that only women are affected (who do not have a lobby among the male clinicians); furthermore, a proper diagnose takes 45 minutes, which is not paid by health insurance; endometriosis is not dealt with sufficiently in medical studies, so gynecologists are not able to detect it; and finally, funding for research is missing.
